In 2009 the Sam Francis Foundation donated a gift of more than five-hundred prints to the Milwaukee Art Museum (MAM) that constitutes the largest repository worldwide of Francis's limited edition artworks in a museum collection. There are works that cover the artist's career from 1960, his very first foray into the medium, to posthumous editions authorized prior to November 4, 1994.
